The City of Johannesburg Emergency Management Services (COJEMS) have reported no incidents across the City of Johannesburg despite the current extreme winter weather conditions.

“We commend residents for their continued vigilance and cooperation during this time. While we urge all residents to exercise caution when using heating devices such as heaters, gas heaters, paraffin stoves, and open flames. Please do not leave these appliances unattended while in use, as they pose a significant fire risk during the cold season,” said Robert Mulaudzi, COJEMS spokesperson

The COJEMS, in collaboration with our Disaster Management Monitoring Teams and other specialized units, is actively monitoring all seven regions of the city to respond swiftly to any potential emergencies.

Residents are reminded that for any life-threatening emergencies, they should immediately contact our emergency call center at 011 375 5911.
