Nishtara Recovery and Wellness Centre in Lenasia plays an important role in helping people overcome substance abuse. This long-standing facility has built a strong reputation in the community for offering support and treatment to individuals struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. By providing a range of rehabilitation services, Nishtara is helping many people in Lenasia and nearby areas reclaim their lives and work towards recovery.
In recognition of their exceptional performance in implementing the Ke Moja Anti-Substance Abuse Awareness Program in the South of Johannesburg, the center received an award on November 7, 2024, from the Gauteng Provincial Department of Social Development in collaboration with the African Youth Development Fund.
“Our teams of dedicated volunteer facilitators work tirelessly in our schools, health care facilities and community based organizations in an effort to achieve our vision of a drug free South Africa,” said Nazia Salejie, the outreach project coordinator for the centre.
