The Dobsonville SAPS police official arrested an African male. The suspect was arrested in relation to the death of an African female who was in her mid 30’s. The body of the victim was dumped in a veld in Snake Park Block 9.
The suspect was arrested on 20, April. He may also linked to the murder or has information of who murdered the two victims.
Dobsonville SAPS spokesperson Constable Vusi Thokwane said, "It is the alleged that African Male was in a romantic relation with the deceased for approximately two weeks and met in the Johannesburg CBD and stayed together before her death.”
He added that it is alleged that he used a dustbin to dump the body in the open veld.
The accused is facing charges of murder and defeating the ends of justice.
He appeared on 22 April and remains in custody and soon will be appearing in court for a formal application.
