A devastating accident occurred on May 27 at approximately 4 PM on the K43 road in Lenasia, close to the Ahmed Kathrada Lenmed Hospital, involving three vehicles.
Two individuals tragically lost their lives at the scene, while a third person later succumbed to their injuries at Lenmed Hospital. Several others sustained injuries and were transported to nearby medical facilities for treatment.
Emergency services, including JML High Care, various ambulance providers, and the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department, responded swiftly to the incident. The accident necessitated the closure of the road due to the blockage of both lanes. The driver of one vehicle, who unfortunately passed away, had to be extricated by the City of Johannesburg Emergency Management Services Fire Department.
