Light Pole not fixed

A light pole on Vulture Street, Ext 1, Lenasia, south of joburg is still not fixed. No clue how long it has been there for but it is a safety hazard for a person walking past or a driver.
If it falls on someone they either will be rushed to hospital or die from servere injuries they have suffered due to the impact.
A community member can complain till they blue in the face but it will not be fixed till something serious really happens and the council needs to act and fix it.
For me as a person who often users that road my worry is kids playing on the road and a person driving and it falls on the car.
The light will remain on during the day but at night when the street really needs light it will not have... Really makes no sense

A true friend/sister

It comes a time where none of us know what to say or do.
I became selfish and demanding because I found a bigger sister in a friend. I forgot that love appreciation and acceptance is very important. Not materialistic things.
I fought big sis like almost everyday. But when she not around me to speak to me or guide me or advice me I feel lost. I miss her alot. Two and a half years of knowing a person who would let me get away with murder is really the worse feeling today. She would not shout or scream at me when i did something wrong. Instead talk to me. Both of us being Taurus we liked things our way and bump heads in certain things not agreeing to what we both were doing.

Certain things she is doing i don't approve of but I have to accept it as it really isnt easy speaking to a taurus who wants it her way.
Motivating me in many ways is what I love.  Has also encouraged me to apply for police college. Big sis really keeps me on my toes. She isn't my blood family though she taken as one.

I lost myself when fights started and forgot no gift will make things better. Except understanding and communication. She would say to me 'leave me for sometime, give me some space'. I refused to listen and I started pushing her away further and further. Got me nowhere.
Lesson in life - materialistic stuff don't buy love and fights don't make things better. If one is upset one should think with a calm collective mind to avoid steering the pot further.

Keketso Mahlakwana Memorial Service

"Children should be seen not hurt. Enough is enough"

Pinkladies organisation for missing children founded and directed by Dessie Rechner, started in 2007, two weeks later after the body of Hercules, Pretoria child's Sheldeon Human body was found, and she was brutally murdered.
She was wearing a pink top and denim skirt. She is the reason why the organisation was started for all children. Pinkladies do all children and adults.  Partners with SAPS and there is no waiting period to open a case.

I, Priya Ranchod a volunteer from the Pinkladies organisation feels sadden by the sudden loss of Keketso 'Keke' Mahlakwana ... working tirelessly on the case from Tuesday (16/05/2017) evening took everything out of me, I'll continue working with saps, crime intelligence and other officers who are handling the case to find the alleged suspects who brutually murdered this beautiful soul.
Working as a volunteer for the Pinkladies for two years now we experience many different cases which include families involved with drugs, rape, other situations but it does not stop us from doing our outmost best to reunite a child with his/her family or a parent with their child.
I will continue serving the community as a volunteer for the Pinkladies and no matter where I am I will keep working and doing my best to put a smile on a parent and child's face. We all come into this world innocently and are here to do God's work. Let's unite as a community to keep up the good work. Big thank you goes to my director Dessie, my coordinators Wendy Skeens and Gale Ficks, Lenasia SAPS Station commander Brig Mashoa, missing person IO W/O ndou, detectives commander Col Thonyoma, Crime Intelligence  Unit Soweto West, K-9 unit, other saps officials from lenasia and province, the community who assisted, school principal Md Naidoo, and all other role players for going the extra mile in assisting in finding Keke. But unforseen circumstances we were not able to reunite a family together.
May his soul rest in peace and his family have the strength to get through this tough time.
