THE International Art of Living Foundation (AOL) in Johannesburg
hosted 80 children around Soweto during a fun filled camp at the Forté
High School in Dobsonville from 2 to 5 April 2012.
The camp was organised by the foundation, an international
education and humanitarian non-governmental organisation. AOL in
conjunction with its sister organisation the International Association
for Human Values has been active in Soweto for over seven years.
It runs the Youth Village project, which focuses on empowering and enabling young people and the community of Soweto.

Children also learned a breathing process called Sudarshan Kriya
which they use on a daily basis to focus and concentrate on their school
work, studies and any other activities they do.
“Many of the children who attended the course were sponsored by the
Youth Village project,” AOL teacher and Youth Village project
co-ordination Aneshree Naidoo said.
Naidoo said that apart from the Youth Camp, the Youth Village project has also implemented a feeding scheme that provides meals to over 120 children daily.
