Police arrested a 29-year-old African female on 28 April for concealment of birth in Dobsonville, Ext 3.
While police were busy with their investigation they discovered a female chasing the Pikit Up with a dustbin bag on her hand. While she tried to throw the packet in the truck the foetus of new baby fell out on the side of the truck.
“The suspects is taken to the hospital for mental check-up and she is in the custody of the police,” said Dobsonville SAPS spokesperson Constable Vusi Thokwan
Dobsonville Station Commander Brigadier Ngubane commended swift response by the police that led to the apprehension of a suspect.
