A Father Daughter Duo - Dil Se

Manojkumar Khundo, and his daughter Portia from Benoni have released their second album called Dil Se along with his brother Ammy Khunoo being part of the album.
The duo were interviewed live on Lenz Fm 93.6Fm on August 17 on the Weekend Wiggle show presented by Super J (Jitesh Hari) every Saturday from 12pm-3pm.
Manojkumar, begun his music career in his teen days performing as a singer and drummer.  He played in many bands.
“I studied music for a short while and did not pursue in the studies due to financial constraints,” Manojkumar said. Manojkumar said that finally in 2002 his desire for music developed into greater love.

Since 2005, father and daughter have become a team. Portia started her music career at the age of 10–years–old. Manojkumar’s objective is to be unique producing quality music straight from the heart and soul, doing his utmost to meet international singing standards.
In 2005, the duo released their first album called Chutney Choka. Many songs are played on Lotus Fm, Hindvani and Lenz Fm.
Portia, 18, a young and dynamic singer is vigorous with her dad and both gain knowledge and different skills together as they compose and record music.
Portia doesn’t only melt many hearts with her charismatic voice and personality   but her magnificent voice meets many of the international eastern and western artist standards.

Manojkumar’s brother Ammy has joined the father daughter duo since 2010 and has a fantastic voice with great talent. Ammy, vocal’s for many songs that the duo performs on stage and on cd albums.
Portia and Manojkumar have performed throughout South Africa for various functions, for both eastern and western music lovers.
The duo were chosen by a local movie producer and director Marlene Ramlotchun from Verlum, Durban as playback singers for the movie called A Stem of Rose and Thorns which is soon to be released.
