Luewellyn 'Lue' Pillay a resident of Kelvin, Sandton, Johannesburg.
Speaking to the man over whatsApp chat or call, I grew a fond understanding of the type of person he is.
He one day said to me he needs to do a lung transplant but I left it at that in 2018.
Till the other day I got a shock when saw on the one crime group that he sadly said his last goodbye to his family, friends and colleagues. Had not spoke to Lue for months and all I hear is the sad news.
Lue, was not just a husband, father, son, cousin, uncle or friend, but he was an angel, God sent to earth to help make a change. You can call him middle of the night he would take your call and he would help out but if he is not available he would return your call early the next morning.
I remember doing a few missing persons cases with him but never met him till I attended Sandton sect 4 meeting a Wednesday.
He spoke with a smile and always had good things to say about everyone. He was also a very honest and dedicated patroller and crime fighter who believed in fighting for his community and making a change for the betterment off all.
Lue was a man of his word and his family meant the world to him especially his two daughter angels and his wife who he has left behind...
No wife or child can forget a husband/father/friend who made them smile from the time they open their eyes in the morning till they say good night daddy.
He has touched alot of lives not just in his sector but around Gauteng.
Despite knowing Luewellyn for just over a year, I was blessed with a true friend who would open his door for you anytime.
U will be missed buddy.
